Lol, unfortunatly it is an out of the box site but as I stated it will be changed considerably as is going to be more classified and Mini attractions based.

Out of interest, what are we saving it from? Someone who has just dropped 10k+ on a car isn't going to weigh it in

Bang on the money there fella!

I'd even rather see it go to the states with with a multi millioniare who will have the car brought up to concourse standards. Than see it snapped up over here and be kept by a syndicate who will not want to bump up the cash to have the thing restored by master craftsmen (which it should be in my view)

Sooner or later the syndicate will have to sell it and we'll all be back to square one.

Once it's gone, it's gone forever! So come on all you Mini fans'. Get behind this campaign to save our heritage! Mini Crazy needs your support.

From ex. Smith's Industries employee, manufacturer of over two million mini car heaters.

Because that seems to be the more likey currenty outcome due to the interest in it though the auction. It would be a shame to see it restored. I think it may go as high as 10k but am hoping to high hell it doesnt due to my own personal financial limits.

Please be reminded that the value of your investment may go down as well as up.

Some may say that it wouldn't be much of a loss if it was gone anyway.

As an aside, my dad was an accountant at Smiths Industries in Cricklewood, he met my mother there...poor man.

Surely if you want people to invest, then there needs to be something tangible to invest in, even if it's just a piece of paper which states you have a one pound share in your "MiniWorld / MiniLand"....

If not why not just say.....

Give me a pound as I don't want to waste my own money on it...

And finally.... I was hoping to find a website which actually informed me more about your scam, ooops... sorry... scheme... just to find another forum in its infant stages. poor form, young sir.

If you took the time to read my pervious posts you would see what i am offering in return for a stake/investment/donation or whatever youd like to call it.

Its a very simple idea that will go a long way.

A shame you cant see past the end of your nose or even take the time to listen/read the infomation provided.

You dont even know me....... so how on earth can you have an opinion about it being a scam, think before you type next time.

I am so glad i cam to this site as it has opened my eyes as to what certain people involved with this car already told me.

A great shame but i look forward to seeing you at the centre when open with or without this Mini.

I have taken the time to read ALL of your posts, in other threads too....

All you seem to want to do it promote your own site, and have not contributed one iota to this forum....

As you are a new comer, I think the forum has been accommodating to your idea, but you have consistently avoided giving any hard details as to what you are asking people to 'chip in' too...

Unfortunately for you, there is a big difference between the words, stake, investment and donation.... they are not interchangeable.

What I fail to understand is why, if you are devising some form of themed attraction based on the Mini, why you are concerned about finding funding to purchase a, for arguments sake, £10k vehicle.  An attraction is going to cost millions, so in the scheme of things a £10k vehicle is small change...

Unless the attraction is a field with rotting shells in it.

I have been thinking exactly this myself. I have come to the conclusion that the OP is most likely a well intentioned individual but one who hasn't thought this through and so, to my mind at least, its dead before it starts. The secrecy initially didn't help either. As you say it would take a massive investment for this to work. I would suggest a minimum of 30-40 decent cars to be worth seeing. Working on the fact they would have to be of the unusual/ desirable type and we can say an average of 15-20k each. That adds up to 600k before we even think about the building. If I were to think about this, I would want funding behind me of at least 2 million.

All this leads me to one question- why do you need my pound?

I hope I am wrong and I wish the OP every success, but like others above, it will be without my pound.

I also get the feeling that this now being turned an an exercise in promting the 'minicrazy' forum/

Just had a look at the facebook page and theres absolutely no mention of the mueseum/donations on there.

Theres no way a mini based muesum is likely to make a profit.  I believe that the 'cars of the stars' in keswick closed due to to lack of visitors?

The attraction is currently costed at £290,000 and this does not include my current collection. the reason I came up with the idea of a £1.00 was to see if there was any interest in the idea and time. Thats it, I then realised, I would need to offer something in return for your investment, I am fully aware of the differences between the words but I did intailly think whats a £1 per person.... but would I give a quid to some random for his/her gain?? no, hence the investment suggestion.

Time unfortunatly is of the essance hence the basic website that is up and also the facebook page, you will also notice the changes being made daily and the fact that yes its a forum based website is due to me being advised that this is the best website base to build upon. My site and facebook page will have a full attraction centre page within the next week of so, when all cars are photographed and cataloged for people to look at. Building plans and business plan.

I whole heartedly disagree that a mini attraction center will not make a profit and so do my investors. I guess we will have to watch this space.....

Thanks again for all your comments.

If you were to take the mini show scene as a guide then it would appear that this market is shrinking rather than growing. Gaydon a few years ago was rammed and now its on its last legs, the organisers have opened that show up to other marques to generate more interest.

The other shows have gotten smaller as well, Malvern for example.  The exception to this is MITP, thats largely due to the amount other attractions going(non mini based)

Why would people go to your museum to look at minis rather than a mini show?
