I want to buy new seat covers but I can't fit the body of the seat covers on the seat because of the headrest, like in the picture at the bottom. Is there anyway to remove my headrest from the seat, I tried but I couldn't and didn't want to break them... Oh, these are the seat covers or these I'm looking to buy...Thanks any advice would help.

Mine just pull out. They are fairly stiff to move but nothing other than friction holding them in. BUT they have been recovered so can't be sure they are all like that.

- I think there is a clip on the bottom of the bar that pulls up the head rest, try pushing the bottom of the bar and pulling up at the same time.

- You could also try and bring the seat cover up and have a look.

- To be honest those seat covers you've shown don't particularly look that great, one because they are not made to fit a mini 'universal' and two they don't look that great quality.

- If I was you I would save up and get some professionally made new covers to fit your mini seats. You could also see if there are any companies that could re-upholster them over where you are.

Yeah, I don't see any clip at the bottom of the seat, Oh I know those seat covers aren't ideal but they're temporary until I save up to get them professionally done, which will be a while.

To remove the head rests you have to sick you hand up inside the back of the seat and push in a metal clip.

Looks the same as mine. There is no metal clip on mine like described above, possibly lost when they were recovered though. Works fine without.

Ok, when you say inside, do you mean in between the grey seat cover and the foam padding or dig my hand into the foam padding of the seat and push in the clip?
Oh, will the metal clip be in the middle or at the very top of the seat? Thank you for your advice.

If you unclip the rear seat cover, fold the flap back and peak inside you have a cardboard backing, a void area with the bottom of headres pole and then the springs/framework for the foam padding. The metal clip is right at the bottom of the chrome headrest pole and can be a bit of a pain getting your arm up inside the seat.

Wait one more question, when I put them back, I just insert them back into the seat..right?
