Right, wee update.
Got the passengers inner wing in.
while the paint was drying i decided to take the paint off the doors to see what sort of state they were in.
passengers door has a horrible patch and a big ding that was loaded with filler and the frame is pretty far gone at the bottom. probably re-skin and repair panel required.
drivers door. Skin is ok but frame bottom on both corners is fecked
Has anyone managed to remove and re-use door skin? any tips?

new chairs turned up, bargain at £90 for the pair, and they are in really good condition too.
started sorting out the mildly crusty bunnet
I also tried fitting the subframe but the drivers side bottom mount is miles out so i'll need to do some measuring and checking to see if its the shell or the frame :-(

So I finished off the bonnet today
Then I tried to work out what was going on with the front subframe bottom mounts, you can see in these crappy photos, with the frame fully fitted it is trying to rip the drivers side mount off the toe board.
I took the frame off and re-fitted the old one to see if it was frame or shell and results were the same so it must be the shell :-(
These photos show how far out the mounts and holes are out with the tower bolts done up tight.
so need some help from you mini gurus, how do I fix it??

Right so i finally got the subframe issue sorted out so it fits.
i built the hinge mounts for the flip front and welded in the brace bars.
and mocked up the panels for the front.
Had a quick play with the hinges but the wings were fouling on the a-panels big time so gonna take a lot of fettling me thinks. anyone got any tips on this?
i bought the inner wings with the a panels already fitted is it best to remove them get the wing and bonnet shut lines correct then refit a panels??

wee update
decided to tackle the doors, removed the skin repaired the bottom of pass door and cut out the handle cup and welded in a plate
then fitted the electric windows and central locking mechanisms, then i had to work out how the solenoid for the door latch was gonna fit!! managed to get it in by fabricating a new linkage which attaches to the existing handle mechanism.
and a wee video showing it all working
http://vid680.photob...AC196231833.mp4
then started on the drivers door which has the bottom hinge welded on because the bolts have sheered!!!
think i'll skin up tomorrow

Passenger door skinned up and fitted
Then welded in some filler rods to get the shut lines sorted. Pretty happy with the result
