set about the passengers side today.
love the standard of work done by previous owner, who was a mechanic!!!!
Who says oversills are rust traps looks fine to me
repaired a bit of the floor at the back
and prepared the floor for new inner sill which i will fit the morn

found and cut out another crappy repair, why put so much metal in if you are only going to weld an inch?
Welded in the new inner sill
My die grinder gave up the ghost so will have to make a trip to elgin tomorrow to get a new one

The build is going great it seems BUT has anyone noticed how BIG his shed is ??????? you could get 100 minis in there no trouble.lucky guy !!

it's less shed more Hardened Aircraft Shelter I was in the RAF for 13 years and my wife is still serving so they let me use the motor club on camp. has 2/4 post ramps, guillotine, sheet metal bender, press and even a small blasting cabinet. And it is very cheap

put a new passengers side floor pan in today.
didn't realise it was different to the other side until i had already cut it. Oh well, it'll be covered in carpet on the inside and if you see it at this angle when it's finished i think matching floor pans will be the least of my worries.
and my new die grinder I picked up this morning. Universal air tools heavy duty beastie, yum. was a bit pricey but jebus how good is it!!!! sooooo much better than the crappy clarke kit i had before.

bit of a demoralising day today, I decided to do a bit of cleaning up of the boot floor.
I think I am gonna have to replace the entire boot floor :-(

Always good to have this on your ipod when your sanding paint and underseal back, just to keep you going when you find the ginger crusty!!

How did you do in the SSD
I followed the reports for the whole week, as both me and my dad ride
Dads got a 2013 sherco and I've got a 2005 gasgas both 300's
finished 185th, not a very good result but I hadn't ridden a bike for nearly 2 months before it and it was only my 4th time riding a 4rt (takes a bit of getting used too after years on a 2 stroke!)
enjoyed it tho and it's always good to finish the event.
