been doing a few bits and bobs, here and there.   Managed to fix a weird little problem which was the engine switching off every time i put it in gear, linked out the neutral input to the start cut off relay but kept the neutral switch/indicator in the loop so it still works.

I have also taken the paint off the roll cage and will prime and paint it this weekend.

also got one of the door cards upholstered, not the greatest and still needs the door pull doing and fitting (the wife has been employed with her sewing machine for that)

Hi,

On bikes there's a switch on the sidestand which stops the engine when you put it in gear if the stand is still down.

That's the bit you need to bypass.

Cheers  :proud:

Linking out the sidestand switch and the clutch switch was the first thing I done on the loom but it was still doing it even with these linked out. All sorted now tho.

Got the dash back today and to say I’m happy with it is a huge understatement!!!!! Del at Optimus in Rutherglen http://optimustrimmers.co.uk has done an amazing job. Not only because he was one of only 2 that would actually take on the job but his quote was half the price of the other guy!!! Anyway here is some pics.

Passed with one advisory for rear number plate lights showing white light to the rear. An easy fix oh and a quiet word advising me the headlights are not for a right had drive car and shouldn’t be fitted, especially for its next MOT ???

today went ok then not well at all!!

got the wheel alignment done took it for a spin and it was nice to drive it without feeling I was gonna die.

Video

then on the way home it blew the engine to filter housing oil line off and emptied its self in a dramatic cloud of smoke and hd to be trailered home.  not sure if there is any damage or not but it still turns over and starts, will check later in the week.

Hello thats a very wonderfull mini.

I got a promotive convertion my self.

But i have some questions.

Can you make some pictures of the oil and coolant lines so i can see where it goes and how you did connect it.

You have weld the 2 pipes on the coolant pipe at the bottem of the engine?

One of the pipes is for the heater and the other for the oil coolant but where must i connect it to.

Can you make me some pictures?

Thanks.  and keep on the good work ik wil follow you.

hose A comes from bottom of radiator to bottom of engine

hose B goes from the welded stub on the bottom of engine to the oil cooler on the rear of the engine

hose C goes from welded stub on the bottom of engine up to the bulkhead connector then to heater inlet

hose D comes from the heater return to bulkhead connector then to the welded stub on the top engine return pipe

not shown in the pics is the large return hose which goes from thermostat to top of radiator.

hope this helps

Thanks!!!

That helps alot.

I got another question.

Where do you have your air inlet for the heater unit?

Because there is a radiator now on the promotive.

I dont have a fresh air inlet for my heater it just uses cabin air, my heater is really only there for de-mist.
