done some more wiring and got some parts back from daventry metal finishers and what a fine job they have done too they look awesome.

I also fitted the baffle plate

FB98_E924_95_F8_4643_873_F_45_DE96468170

but then when i went to fit the sump the low oil switch was fouling the plate, I then read the instructions which said you should chop theswitch and just use it as a plug but i decided i wanted it to remain so drilled a hole in the plate.

Engine has now been fitted to frame for hopefully the last time, just waiting on the zorst coming back from zircotec getting it ceramic coated instead of using the wrap. then i can get the frame in the car

Still waiting on zorst coming back from zircotec so decided to fit some of the bits to the arse end so they are not laying around the garage

put a new seal in the boot which is making the boot lid stick out a wee bit at the top but hopefully the seal will bed in a bit and it'll be ok.  I should have the pipe back this week so should get the engine in next weekend.

Got my new powder coated rear subframe in at the weekend.  had to wrestle with it a bit to get it in and the adjustable camber brackets were a pig to fit!!!

Also got the fuel lines and filter in

a wee update for those that are interested.

I have spent a wee while sorting out the last bits of wiring and trying to fix a problem.  The engine was really hard to crank, i thought it was juat a flat battery so put a new one in and it was still the same, checked loads of stuff but couldn't find the problem to cut a long story short I nearly set it on fire due to a bad earth!!!!! my mission to prevent rust also prevented an earth so it was earthing through the fuel pump earth!!!!!!! this is what happens when you put 190/200 amps through a 1mm cable.

Its now all sorted and i'm now at the stage where i need to get the interior done.  like i've done throughout this build i'm giving it a go myself.  O_O  O_O

also got my material for doing the rest of the interior.  so I covered the rear pillar covers so it will look the same as the rest.

managed to make a start on interior by doing the trim on the the a b and c pillars on passengers side.

fitted the rear screen and side window seals to hold everything in place then fitted to door seal which is now causing the bottom of the door to push out.

The gap at the centre of the door seems to be really tight

not sure what to do about it.  might buy a smaller seal for the bottom of the door

How much does all that sound deadening weigh out of interest?

Its 2mm silent coat which is 3kg/sq m.  I used approx 6 sq m so somewhere in the region of 18kg

Nice work - does it need an exhaust?!!You might need a louder horn with the speed you'll be doing
