Done a bit work on the mini tonight the paint job is top quality on the mini as for the surface rust cleaned back the area under the scutle panel their was very minor rust and treated it with rust killer will paint myself as it is not seen as for rest of car all ok really deep shine the surface rust under wings i will treat with rudt killer and a good coat of ditronel .Fitted drivers window what an awkward job . I can't understand what all the fuss about the rust and blaming the painter as the paint job is top class and any of the surface rust is in areas that he did not prep or paint ie inner wings and under suttle panel.

I was also sad to see Luke sell up. Rust is rust though and if you don't get to the bottom of it, it will come back to haunt you. How big is your garage? Looks luxury to me, I am slumming it with a refurb on the drive :ohno:

Glad I stumbled across this. Looks well, I know Luke lost enthusiasm for this and well it's simply one of them, Luke has an eye for detail and unless it was bob-on for the money he spent he was never going to be happy with it unfortunately. Glad it's gone to someone who appreciates the work done on it though :-)

Good luck with the rest of the build.
