That's what I would do in his position. Otherwise its another couple of days of stress.

Right, so at 5:30pm he had it sorted, sent me a photo of the post office receipt with my postcode on etc. The tracking dosent work ATM but parcel force have put that down to it being posted after the last collection and the drivers not picking it up yet. Well lets just keep our eye on it. I might get a box of bricks. Whatever happens, I will film me opening it or even open it before I sign for it.

Hope it all works out for you bullet, has he put it on a next day delivery? If he has and it hasn't been collected yet you might not get it till Thursday but at least the tracking should start tomorrow.

Lessons learnt? Mayby driving the hour each way (£40 tops?) to check the goods and hand over £1200 and to take them home might of been a better idea...

Indeed! Somehow I'm still not confident. Not sure but I think it will be picked up tomorrow. Thursday is ok. Just hope it's what I paid for!

  Personally i think the guy is a saint for putting up with this.  My text would have said something more along the lines of 'holiday ruined by inconsiderate and impatient buyer failing to take the bank holiday into account'.  Genuinely no offence is meant but I think you really have been all over this guy's back by the sound of it, quite possibly all based on nothing more than paranoia that you are feeling as a result of being stung in the past.

 

You think the guy is a saint for not keeping his word - if you sell something, don't play games with shipping it - I've an idea, let's test out your principals :- I'm a brit resident in Indonesia - transfer GBP1000 to be, and I'll give it back to you in a month and match the interest you may have lost - do you trust me? Let's say you did trust me, and I told you I was going to give you a print out of my bank statement every week and didn't, would you start getting the arse? If you answer "yes" to the second question, then don't be such a hypocrite. 

 

The OP has every right to get the right hump even if the seller is on the level.

£1200 is a lot of money in my world! I'd be massively nervous just like the OP!

Its difficult, because I'd be nervous going round to someone's house with that sort of cash, I'd definitely take a mate!

The seller should've done what he said he would do in the first place and avoid all this hassle!

Well its looking slightly more promising now. Lets just hope it all turns up and you can chalk it up to experience. In the end, the main thing is that you get the camera set up that you wanted. Lets just hope its as good as you were hoping for!
