You've paid money into his bank so there will be a fairly good audit trail if you have been conned.

 

Just take a deep breath and give it until Tuesday before you go off all guns blazing!

So after saying I was going to the police I got a reply saying it was his last day of holiday and then he will be back at home. He understands my frustration but he promises there is no foul play and he said it's ruined his holiday with him arguing with his misses all the time (maybe he should of stopped giving me false promises) He said to let him get home tomorrow and find exactly what is going on. 

He said, if the camera is at home then I can collect it, but if it has been sent then everything is fine..

Make what you want from that, i'm not holding my breath. Why would he say it has been sent, then it hasn't and now I can collect. Nothing adds up, but I will leave him to get home tomorrow and tell me whats going on. 

Genuine or not, I'm sure you guys can understand that sleepless nights over it and the wonder as to where my £1175 has got too. The last thing  I wanted to do was ruin his holiday, but if he had told me what was going on, then I wouldn't have to keep nagging. 

I'm sure you guys would worry too, no?

i wouldnt be worrying, because i would have already gone to his house and done what was to be done.. 

 

get him to tell you his adress, because then you can hold him to something and know where to go if it all goes pear shaped

Hes already told him his address as he said in a previous post, whether its his real address or not is another story

Just had a phone call, still bits that don't add up and he even asked if I had sent the police to his flat but he will phone me tomorrow at midday to tell me what is going on.

Any joy today? This is a wired set up, I've got friends who could quite easily forget to post things or not organise stuff getting posted so I guess that could make them look like con men, hopefully this guy is that sort of character just a bit daft and too relaxed.

If I were you I'd jump in the car tomorrow and go to the address he's given you to get some answers and either a camera, a thousand pounds or a tracking number

If he can get postage sorted then I would prefer that because I have paid to have It posted and if he is a con man then he would of give me the wrong address and I could go driving there and find its a random house wasting time and petrol.

Indeed, but it's petrol I don't want to waste! Money is tight as it is now haha.
