I have a policemen friend across the road and my next door neighbor is a crime scene investigator. He told me to follow it through, if I have a crime number they have to look at it.

Piece of paper on desk, looked at it, next one.......

Keep on to them mate, or if you know a copper ask him to have a word in their ear on your behalf.

Will do, i've run out of options now... I've tried the bank, they can do nothing. Everything is data protection.

They had all gone, just still on the google search.

Phoned Gumtree, not interested, Data protection again. These people love protecting the criminals.

It's stupid! Why do so many people protect the real criminal?. Like above its amazing how you can be going 4 mph over the limit and they pull you up for it but someone that has just been robed of £1k they don't really care about! I'd be tempted to take it down to your local police station and say I had spoke to so many officers yesterday and I feel that I am not beening taking seriosly??

I phoned them yesterday, my local. And they put me straight onto these people. I have just updated my crime report though so we will see.

Wonder if someone could do some digging on this https://www.facebook...yce.948?fref=ts

Probably not the guy as it dosen't sound like the way he looks but it's the closes I have found.

Contact the Police and Crime Commissioner for your local force if you feel the police aren't interested!

They're elected by the public to be answerable to the public!

Also, keep an eye out online for other victims, the bigger the value of the crimes the more will be investigated!

I don't know anything about action fruad unfortunately!

Not yet. Like I said, I'd rather the police go and sort it out. If all else fails, I will send some mates around.

It's not stupid at all, if someone could get information on you by going to someone holding the data and saying "So and so did this!" then there would be much bigger issues. Data Protection is there for a purpose.

As far as I've seen through this whole thread, you've no idea if that address is actually his. You might just be going round to upset some old lady.

It's horrible what's happened to you but I think all you can do at this point is learn from it. By all means keep hounding the Police, but their lack of interest probably reflects how unlikely it is that they will catch the guy.

This is what you do then. instead of going and upsetting a old lady make a fakke parcel. put something decent in their take it to the adress and ask to aspeak to him (hand it to him) if the person or the houseowner takes it you know they have links to him, wort a try reckon.
