Seriously bad news. Hope you get it all sorted. This might not help at the moment, but remember its only money - don't let it stress you out too much if you can help it.No joke here, already on the police. I knew something wasn't right.

I thought it was all going to be ok after the tracking number too.... =/ But seems as you have his bank details for the transfer im guessing you can get hold of his address or atleast the police should be able to. Hope you get your money back, cant imagine the thought of opening it to see paper -.-

There are some nasty people out there
It's flat out fraud, so don't let the police fob you off with ''it's a civil matter''

Just a thought, could you perhaps email gumtree? Surely he would have to register his details in order to advertise something?

Police aren't too interested they took details but that is it.
I phoned parcelforce who gave me the post office phone number and post code that he sent it from.
at first he sent me an invoice so I have that as proof and I put it in the description of the bank transfer.

There's a surprise! If you were doing 34mph in a 30 zone you would be done quick enough. Keep at them, ask what they are doing and ask for a timescale. If you are not happy ask to see the next in the food chain. In my experience most of them seem to want an easy life of drinking coffee and dreaming of their enormous pensions. The more noise you make the more likely you are to get some action. Good luck.Police aren't too interested they took details but that is it.

What scum, I really hope you can sort this out. I was hoping that it might all turn out alright in the end and you'd get the camera.

I have work in an hour too, what an awful day.
I am doing my best, but can't get through to anyone or they won't give me anything because of data protection.

Worth a try I suppose, if he's really stupid he might reply. I doubt he's got the morals to refund the money though.
