Hello people of mini cyber land :-),

I've got a seized clutch on my mini atm, has been standing for a long old while, and recently I was pressing and depressing the clutch when it suddenly got stuck at the top :-(. I've done some research previously and the slave cylinder was mentioned - apparently a good old soaking in WD40 may help, so I would like to give that a go, however, rather embarassingly (go easy on me though I'm still a mini beginner!)  have no idea where that is! if anyone could post a picture or give a description fit for a fairly novice-y mini owner that would be great! Or I'd also love to hear any other suggestions you have that may solve the mystery.

Cheers!

Tom

Right the slave cylinder is in the picture below with the pushrod going to the clutch arm, where the red arrows are its also posible its siezed there as well as inside the cylinder. if the cylinder is siezed it should be freed off and stripped down for a clean and rebuild with new seals.

Also possible the clutch master cllinder has also suffered from water in the fluid and the piston siezing, its next to the brake master cylinder and would also require stripping checking and rebuilding if the bore is in good condition

Thanks for the reply, I still can't seem to free the clutch lol so it's off to the garage tomorrow :-). I think I'd end up doing more damage than good so I'll leave it in the hands of experts. Cheers for your help anyway, it was fun trying :-)
