Hi all,

Just wondering what people have done to replace the front ash tray on the dash, i have seen someone put a digital clock in place, but just wanted to see what other people have done!

Thanks, Carlo

The digital clock I think  (correct me if I'm wrong) was an optional extra instead of the ash tray. I had one in my mini which I've taken out and will probably be selling soon.

Something from a Rover 200 you could fit in there easy. Like this http://www.ebay.co.u...2#ht_266wt_1328

The tray pops out I think :)

I would also like to know where to get a clock and would prefer to find one that uses battery's as would be easier to install lol (lazy)

As would I, but my Magnolia clock already in there will do for now. This however could be perfect if you have a Burr Walnut dash http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_1825wt_1091

Might be a bit bigger than the ash tray hole but you could always glue the backing of the clock to hole area

EDIT: Actually, here you go:

No, the one people use is from a Renault I think.  The ashtray was always the ashtray.

Digital Clock used to be available brand new from Mini Spares, discontinued about 5 years ago.

Direct fit and really easy to wire up. Get one! :D

Are there any other options for a replacement rather than the digital clock?

Yes, that one.  They were originally Renault sourced or something like that but are NLA.
