I know, I have a million questions but....
As I try and get my Rover Monte Carlo fully sorted, things keep cropping up. Last night it was the Bonnet stripes. I finally polished the new paint and wanted to add all that Monte flare back to it. Somehow, I had two sets of bonnet stripes. They were from different suppliers for sure. I applied one side and instantly didnt like them so i tried the other brand. Both just werent right. I have my original bonnet (that was smashed from accident and has been outside, behind shop for years now) so I could be sure to get the Monte badge perfect and noticed that the stripes are still nice and shiny. The two I had bought both were dull. Maybe satin but either way, were not the same as what was on the car originally.
I tried to look genuine units up and only came up with Summerford Minis as they sell both Diamond White and Old English white. I called and they said that theirs are "satin" in finish? Is that right? Were they all satin and maybe mine have been puffed to look shinier? I know that either of the ones I had bought had the right radius on the corners. I know, I am getting REALLY anal here but I just want things right.
