Has Anyone Done Air Suspension On A Mini?

im going to buy a set im looking around   anyone here has done it? any recommendations.? 

 

i googled and found a few but  i just want to know if someone here has done it and is it worth it?

I just seen the airride uks video and you could get it lower on hi los.
Minis just cant use newer tyre suspension unless theres huge mods done

agree, mine's lower than them on the front and it's static

Depends what you mean by air suspension...

 

Do you mean "Pimp my ride" type air suspension or do you mean air suspension like that available in luxury cars.

 

I have a subaru legacy which has air suspension, and have been looking at using the rear bags from this system to mount into the rear subframe, but the issue maybe the amount of travel which is required for the system to work properly vs the amount of travel on the mini suspension strut. Obviously an air bag suspension would replace the shock absorber as well.

 

The reason for doing the above would be for self-adjusting suspension in my van, which would also be a pre-cursor to the installation of an HID headlamp system.

 

If you mean the former, then comfort must not be a consideration.

If you just want it for the lifting lowering effect rayvern hydraulics used to do a kit not sure if they are still around tho.
