No I wouldn't give away pocket money away, maybe because I don't get pocket money! And why not work out the cost of petrol ad transport and sell it for that no Because you want to invite as many members to own the most historical minis out there! Your meant to be an adult an you act like a child!

I don't think he's the one acting like a child..

it's his property to do what he wants, and he must have spent quite a lot of money and time on the mini already- removal, storage, and taking it to shows!

Maybe you're just jelouse that he had the initiative to get off his arse and try and save it. I know I am!

I'm not so much annoyed at the fact that you took the mini! That's the little bit!!! The fact is that your trying to make money from it auctioning it... The car is that valuable that it will attract at lot of people! I hope the people who do buy it think about it and care for such and iconic car!

who said ime going to make money ime taking a gamble and could actually LOSE  money ..its going in with NO RESERVE it could sell for £100 then ime well out of pocket believe me just ask an adult how it all works

Stop referring to me as a so called little child!. Believe it or not I seem to have a lot more respect for the people of the forum than you do. I know how a auction works!. Selling this is like someone buying the rights to say the Statue of Liberty! It could lose money but it isn't going to because of the icon it has you me and everyone knows that!

 You've destroyed history!

get a grip

Get a grip! Believe it or not many people enjoy history!. Why should I be told to get a grip!. Your on the side of someone who's taken something that made history! Weather he had the right to take it or not it should have been left!. I think I am speaking for many of the people on this forum and only one of the people who intend of actually speaking out!

lol,i bet you ring Jeremy vine up each lunch time to put the country straight

Jesus christ people!!!! Fair play to him he saved the mini like it should have been. Now hes realised hes not gonna be able to fix her up and has to sell to cover his own costs. So bloody what leave the bloke alone. How many times have you seen people sell classic cars on ebay because they no longer have the time or money to start/finsh the project?? Do you message them having ago at them??? no!!! So leave the bloke alone!!!!

I can see this making good money at the auction, the price of ordinary 1275GTs has been shooting up nevermind one so famous and special. Personally I'd like to see it put back on the road in like new condition, it's history has been documented and restoring the car won't make it go away. I'd be more interested in seeing it driving around than sitting in a museum in an unrestored state. Good luck with the sale.

How can you say you speak for the majority of people of no one else is 'speaking out'? It's not like we're the stasi, we just hold a different view. If they aren't speaking then they don't care, clearly.

Also I'd point out, if you say you like history but want the car to be left where it was, that's kind of contradictory. Where it was was completely inaccessible. You wouldn't have had the chance to enjoy it but for a few photos. Unless of course you trespassed to see it for yourself.

At the end of the day its your mini and you can do what the **** you want with it... I just personally dont see why the mini was moved in the first time. Fait enough maybe you wanted a iconic piece of history... Maybe you wanted the profit. Personally im going for the profit side of it. Weather you like my views or not I can state them. I just hope someone (possibly a museum) puts it where everyone can see it. hopefully its not sold to someone who wants to restore it!
