and no there is no tax benefits on personal donations ....i give up
Hi Steve,
I believe Shifty meant that the charity may be able to claim tax on the donation rather than you.

Its no ones business what he does with the mini or the proceeds from its sale...BUT when a post is made about some/all of the proceeds going to charity people understandably want to know the details as it will affect the bidding/hammer price
Its a touchy subject some support what hes done some are against it...but wise up people for or against all these posts are helping with the publicity of this little car
Clever!

I think that squarely underlines this, I agree with the sentiment that this should probably be locked. We've all had our say, rightly or wrongly and I don't see how further conversation is going to help matters!
Good luck with the sale Steve, I hope it all goes well.

I think it's about time Steve was banned from this forum.
Why, because somebody disagrees with him doing what he wants with his car?

the more old cars discovered and saved the better.
Bluebird was pulled out of coniston, again controversial but history saved.
Babs was dug up and restored. another motoring icon
anything with history is interesting and a good story. good luck with sale.

Well it's a good thing no one cares what you think. All Steve has been doing is defending himself from remarks / comments made against him.
If we're banning people for no reason then I vote for banning you.
