This is all very interesting.

I think, Steve, you are well in your right to sell it on. Drag it out the tunnel and do whatever you like with it, no one else bothered to.

Also to auction it, is probably the fairest way you could get rid of it. Gives everyone a equal opportunity to buy it and whoever wants it the most, wins.

I would definitely do the same. A few pats on the back for giving it to a museum or £5000+? I know what i would chose, and at that price its going to end up in the right hands.

good luck to you.

You make it sound like he deserves a medal for dragging it out...
It was perfectly fine down there, just a chunk of metal.
The fact is that everyone would have been completely happy for it to still be down there if it wasn't dragged out. Sure, people would think "if only I could take it out", but it would only be a "what if" thought.

You must own a medal factory or something if you give them out that easily.

Well really they are not and its split equally

What is really with the childish comments! On here we all have a right to a opinion. Some of the comments on here are discusting. Yes I may only be 17 but that dosnt mean I have less respect for anyone! Respect is not a matter of age it's about treating people the way you treat them!. Fair play to Tom for really actual standing up to this childish behaviour and the other people who have also spoke out with there opinion! The mini was taken out of the tunnel on the fact you was going to restore it!! Not to sell it!??????

Here here!

People's circumstances can change... Never see anyone kicking off when they try and sell their unfinished projects!?

It's his property and shall do with it as he pleases! Just like it would be the case if it was mine or yours, all this petty arguing will resolve nothing!
As said before, if you feel Steve should essentially give away his own hard earned money for the sake of pleasing some of the mini enthusiasts, then take your own words and buy it, then you can do the "right thing".

I don't like commenting on this forum anymore, and try not to come on here as it's generally just argumentative bull-****. But I've read this thread since it started, not to make a snide comment, but just to see how it un-folded. I'm honestly shocked that, a few people in this thread, including you Steve haven't been warned or banned. Did you not expect this reaction? Lets be honest. You could of just ignored it.

By the way, Derelict-UK. Top Gear.com has used your photo, as has their FaceBook page.

Steve, we've spoken before, and this is NOT a personal attack. I don't actually care what happens to this car, but mindlessly having ago at each other seems a waste of time, you keep saying they're acting childishly, and they're but, so are you by replying, just leave it.
