After drilling the holes for the arches and seam welding the lips back on, I ground down the inside of the arch. Zinc primed, stone chipped. Now just waiting for primer.

Also decided to fit twin tanks so that is my next job, another gut wrenching task, drilling into a brand new shell :(

Yeah it had brown cloth interior and my mum did work for an estate agent at the time she owned it so it is possible that the stickers would be there. :)

Must be heart breaking cutting a new shell but it will be awesome when its done! A completely mint mini :D

Sounds a coincidence. Another bit of info which may help until I can get the reg for you. I rang the previous owners and spoke to a lady about the car and she told me that it had been driven onto the drive and left in 91 as the family got bigger, they sold it locally and the chap who bought it put it up on ebay which is where I managed to buy it.

Any good?

Wow heritage shell nice!

Just wanted to ask a bit randomly - the donor S reg wasn't UYR 70S was it?

I know its so unlikely but every time I see a black 1275gt on an S reg I always check :)

It was my mums and I would love to find it/just know what happened to it......

Anyway good luck :D

Sorry, it's not that registration last three digits are 457S

Floor completely painted, although just noticed some bits I've missed with the seam sealer now it's painted. Will seal these and brush over as they are in hard to see places.

Quick question. I've fitted the bolts this way with the nuts inside the boot with washers. I'll have a right hand tank fitted as well so the will not be visible, thought it would be better from a rust perspective?

Need to touch up the backplate now.

Can't believe how tight this is to fit. I'd hate to fit one from underneath the car.
