There's 5 on mine, the area you marked out is where my fuel tank strap bolts onto.

Yup. I think i have some suitable steel to make another.

I think there might be one more loom strap. Just found this picture of mine from the early days.

Then i remembered i hadn't ordered any drill bits. so i took a walk round to Hurst's to see what they had. i only really needed a 6mm bit but at almost a fiver for one drill bit, i decided to go for this instead

nice draper ones, a bargain thought I. Then I noticed that the sticker on the tin was a bit peeled so i tore it back a bit and found this

cheeky buggers. i was in two minds whether or not to take it back but i thought i would give them a try. They are really good so will be staying.

I've been saying it for years, but a lot of stuff is made in the same factory but given a different stickers etc. then sold for 2 completely different prices depending upon witch brand of sticker. That drill bit set you've bought, I've bought exactly the same one a few years back, from Aldi or Lidl (cant remember exactly witch) for around £7.

Does that mean the draper ones are better than my power fix Aldi ones? All I know is in the few years I've had mine, I've only managed to brake the smaller sizes (might be the user) and as long as you don't try to drill too fast and overheat the bit, they last ages, but then that's the same with most drill bits.

Also, lidl have a pretty good socket/ratchet bit set for £12 from today.

There probably was but i scrapped the boot floor so it's probably long gone.

it won't take five mins to knock one up.

I understand that. It's just really naughty sticking a brand name sticker over the top. if i had known it was the Lidl set, i would have bought it there for half the price.

They are really good though so i shan't complain.

Cheers

The other drill bits to look out for are there pack of 3 step drills, the same ones old by screw fix for twice the price. The ones I've got just don't seam to want to die, even drilling through some thick chassis box section fitting a tow bar a few years back.

I've got a sneaking supposition the other side is mirror image, although can't remember for sure as both my boot corners were replaced/patched years ago and I wasn't too bothered about originality.

Mine were/are in a nice little wooden box with a card sleeve over, the same as the screw fix ones.
