What thickness steel did you use for the rear quarter panel repair.
Cheers,
Mark.
0.9mm i think.
It was from a sheet that i had left over from another job. it was slightly thicker than the metal on the quarter panel.

Hi guys.
Not really much of an update today, more of a tidy up,clean up and get ready to go away for a month.
before i left, i wanted to make sure that i covered any bare metal to keep rust away whilst its stood.
as you can see, leaving the new quarter in bare metal just fr a week was not a good idea....
I had planned to finish the welding before priming it but that's not going to happen this side of going away so i decided to clean it back and prime it up
So cleaned back using a filament brush in the drill
And then i primed it up as well as these areas inside that i cleaned back after this photograph
The i wheeled it outside whilst i cleaned the garage up and sorted out and put away tools etc.
It looks so tiny on the driveway
So here is the quarter all primed up.
It's a bit streaky but that doesn't matter as it will all be coming back off when i get back to it.
And here are the bits inside done
Having it out in the sun really helped the primer dry quickly.
So now he is all tucked up in the garage waiting for me to come home and carry on.
I think from now on, i'm going to work on it outside weather permitting. It's so much nicer than the garage!
Anyhoooooo that's about it until August.
Cheers
Ben

I hope so. That was the only immaculate thing about my mini when i got it.
Problem is, they are stored in my mums loft and nobody ever goes up there. It's only that i am down visiting her at the moment that i decided to check on it.
I have never seen anything like it and she has lived here for 30 years.
We have clothes etc up there too in boxes and everything is covered in ****
