Great work as usual. Can I ask what you used to remove paint of the waist rail. Looks thorough and I can never remove all the paint.
Thanks

Yeah sure.

I did all the flat areas with a worn flap disc. The reason for a worn one is that it's not so abrasive so won't remove lots of metal too.

In the tight areas i used a filament brush in the drill and up under the trim retainer, i used a 3mm cutting disk very gently followed by 80 grit sandpaper to smooth it all out.

Cheers

Ben

At this stage in the game, i really wish i had a spit.

I need to get underneath and then back on top just to do most jobs and its a PITA keep manually tipping it up on its side and then back down several times a day.

Here is a short video of the ordeal every time

Flipping eck you make that look quite easy (Turning mini over), obviously not that easy!  Defo spit is the way to go, don't know what I would do without one now.

John

It has got easier with practice, it's all about being prepared i.e the wooden blocks to put under the top of the b post to support it and knowing where to hold onto to drag it over.

It would be easier to tip it over on the floor, doing it on a pallet is defiantly harder as it rolls about on it's castors while you are trying to lift.

It just gets tiring when you have to keep doing it several times over the course of a days work, especially when you need to tip it over just to do one smll thing and then tip it back again.

A spit is defiantly the way forward

After hearing about your amazing attention to detail, I decided to read through all 62 pages of your build Ben, and I must say I completely agree, your work looks amazing! Your mini is going to look great when it's done :)
