I have dug out the inner wing stiffener and reinforcing plate now and have devised a cunning plan to help with re-aligning the panels after i have removed them again.
Just need to find the door seal now so i can see how the door fits with it on

I can't wait to see this when it's finished. Will look lovely no doubt.
Hope so!
If it starts going downhill, ill never finish it. I'm only interested in the finished article if it is as close to perfect as i can get it.

Just park it next to mine Ben, it'll look superb
Yours will look the business once it's painted and back together.
I've just noticed a minor problem with today's progress which i think may cause some problems

Park both of them next to mine and it'll look concourse
Coming along nicely, cracking gaps already!

Nowt wrong with yours Ross (apart from it not being finished)
The gaps are better than i was expecting. I thought it would be all over the shop to be honest. Especially as i cut the whole corner of the car out all those years back without bracing it.
But then again i defended that decision and it paid off thankfully

Haha except for gaps, door fitment and the wavy filler from where it's sunk... Only gonna have it on the road for the season then redo the body properly.
Yeh i'd have thought it would have at least moved a bit with bracing.. But yep, seemed to work!

Sounds like a plan!
Is the Colour staying the same when you re-do it?

You should bring it to Pride of Longbridge one year when it's done. I always do my best to make it to that show. I doubt I'll be at any mini shows now I don't have a mini myself. If I still had it we could have had 2 25's together.
That's what i was hoping. Would have been nice to have a few together.

Looks great, come n get my door to fit for me, iv still fell out with mine with all the issues I had with my drivers side.
Looks like it will soon look like a mini again. Top job
Cheers mate.
I'm doing my usual and leaving it assembled with clamps while i ponder for a few days.
It's paying off once again though as i have noticed a few things that are wrong which i may not have noticed if i had just welded it all up as it is. Then it would have been too late.
So far, i need to get the top of the flitch to go in further and i think the whole back edge of the inner wing needs to go up a bit which will put the door too high so i need to plan my next move carefully.
