Still watching and looking good Ben

I have used quite a few of those filament brushes and find the 100mm ones better. Since the bristles are longer and more flexible, they penetrate into crevices much better. They also work out a lot cheaper in the long run. I have also used the blue ones which are much finer - great for polishing alloy.

LOLs at the "breakers yard garage" :D  Mine is pretty much the same at the moment. I guess we all have too much stuff and not enough room :teehee:

Pete

Thanks Pete.

I have sorted out in the garage now. I had all of the engine components from my car plus all the parts i had to remove to get said parts off piled up in there and then all of the same parts from the donor car piled up on top plus all the bulky parts like headlights, arch liners, bumpers, ductwork, wheels etc.

Still, only another day or two until i get the job finished and then i can clear it right out, do a tip run and then get cracking with the Mini.

Cheers

Ben

Mark.

Thanks for taking the time to read it :-)

I now have all of the panels to complete the o/s of the car but progress has come to a halt as i have had another little project to finish.

Ill be going back to the Mini probably next week and should soon see the o/s finished which leaves a comparatively small amount of work to complete to finish the car ready for prep. The o/s was definitely by far the worst part of the car.

Cheers

Ben

Yes mate. Not pictured are the Quarter panel, full heritage inner wing and the outer wing etc which i will be fitting along with this lot.

Well i say fitting the wing, infact i shall just use it to see what the gaps are like etc. I won't fit that until the end

Had a little play with the door and hinge panel today.

With the hinge panel fitted and the door on, there is a lovely even gap with just one spacer on each hinge.

I forgot to get photos before i took the door back off.

I put the inner wing in place and managed to get the top hinge holes to line up almost but the bottom is very far out.

But i quickly found the cause after seeing this HUUGGEE gap

And this is the problem... My bulkhead repair has too much material in the way which is stopping the inner wing going over.

Ill trim it up and then it should all be fine. The whole thing needs to go up too but i believe the bulkhead repair is preventing this too.

More to come...

Ben
