No probs. It was just a nightmare to grind those welds down with a die grinder and carbide burr.

Small update, I got some gas and finished welding up the repair section where the wiper motor goes.
I want to weld up the repair sections where the hinge brackets go but have no scuttle to put in to check alignment with the bonnet so I dug out th old scuttle which was in 3 bits, tacked it together and then clamped that to the car together with the bonnet and got this! My Camera has died again so I took these photos with my webcam!
Its a little wide but even so I can play with this more when I get a new scuttle.
This old scuttle is fitted to the car exactly where it was before I removed it, All of the spot welds line up so I am happy with this now so I will weld up my hinge bracket repairs tomorrow. Then im going to get a bloody scuttle!! LOL
Cheers

I hope to have the shell welded up and ready for prep by the end of this year. The I want it painted by spring and finished by autumn 2014. Well that's the plane anyway!! probably won't go to plan but then what project does.

Been at it again today with the grinder. Can't do any welding because the new gas bottle I picked up yesterday is only filled to 800 lb instead of 2000 so that's got to go back tomorrow.
Anyway here are the results.
I'm getting really fed up with working on this bulkhead now. I'm sure other mini owners don't have to do this much to just the bulkhead!
Anyway here is where I am now.
And in case you don't remember what it looked like when I started the project, here is a reminder
Cheers

Today I ordered some panels. I had to order from 3 different places as not one supplier had everything I needed. I bought a heritage scuttle, a heritage top dash rail, a heritage windscreen boxing panel and an A post stiffener boxing panel.
I will of course update again when they arrive and then hopefully I will have some more interesting updates instead of boring bulkhead repairs.
Cheers

My mini spares order arrived this morning. So I have the scuttle and top dash rail. the scuttle had some slight damage but that's all sorted now.
I have clamped the scuttle in place and the fit is good.
Tomorrow I will remove the old dash top rail and get the new one in.
If anyone reading this has their windscreen out and the scuttle etc is untouched, could you take some vertical and horizontal measurements of the windscreen aperture so I can compare it with mine.
Cheers
Ben
