Somewhere there are some pics of my yellow 79 Clubby. I must find those. I can still smell the strong petrol soaked rear seat when i think about it.LOL

Those shoes are long gone! And they are not exactly the height of fashion any more!

I'd still brush the dust off and wear the old Reebok Classics if I had a pair, mind you I am a 34 year old dad with a 15 month old baby, fashion is the last thing on my mind generally when so tired with the little one, as long as I remember to be dressed LOL.

Back to the garage today on and off to tidy up the O/S floor a bit. This is now made up of 3 different panels, The original rear floor, a new front floor half and an inner sill.
So i have tidied up all of the joins so it looks more like 1 floor.
Still a long way to go but i have got it to the point where i could pop some primer on to protect the bare metal.
I am not happy at all with the flutes in the foor. the original flutes on the rear half are wide and square where as the ones on the Magnum front floor are rounder and narrower......
.......And it REALLY shows
i have tried t smooth them together so that they don't stand out so much. I don't know what else to do with it??
i also decided to smudge a bit of filler against the first groove in the floor to level up the join where i welded the inner sill to the floor. It's come out ok but i will re-visit the whole floor again further down the line.
here is the join now.
Could be better but to be honest, it will be dragged over a pallet many more times before paint to it's not worth fannying around with it too much right now.
Cheers
Ben

By the time it's got stone chip all over it you wont notice it mate. Besides, you're going to keep it the right way up on the road aren't you?

I shall go back to it later but i don't think i will be able to do much more with the mis-matched grooves.
Ill have to live with knowing it's like it which is bad for me!

I am even tempted to cut it out and start again
