Its inspired me to crack on with mine, but really need to finish the house. Another couple of months and the house should be done :)

Good to hear but sounds like the house needs to come first. I had to leave mine for 8 months while my place was renovated but now it's done, i can play all i want.
I need to get back out there asap as i have just noticed that some of the bare metal on the floor and inner sill is starting to develop surface rust where i had to leave it half done last week but i have been told to leave it until my eye is better.

Just bought these in Lidl.
The red bit is a hook and loop backing pad that goes in the grinder and the brown thing is a coarse scotch brite type pad and they fit together like this
Don't know how well they will work but ill have a go in the next few days. I'm hoping they will remove the original primer from the rest of the underside of the floor so ill start there

Ha ha.
I loved that Mini. One of the main ones i wish i had kept
I found a pic of a 17 tear old me posing with my 82 city resto but i can't get a photo of the photo clear enough. Without the flash, you can only see a dark shadow of the Mini and wit the flash, all you can see is my ugly mug! lol

Angle the camera a bit so it's not square on to the photo or light it with a torch and switch the flash off
