Thanks guys
Get off TMF. There's work to be done.
Joking aside, I'd better pull my finger out or you'll be finished before me.

Don't be daft mate!
i have got loads more to do yet. Arch tubs, full boot floor, both inner wings, quarter panels, rear panel, front end and i still don't know what's lurking behind the N/S outer sill
And then prep, paint, build engine and running gear, wire it up, fit it up and get it on the road.
Ill be lucky if it's done for 2018 let alone 2016!

I've been called a lot of things in my life, most of which won't get through the swear filter. Wise isn't one of them
Well that's changed now o wise one

Great work so far mate, really coming on well now. Almost a year since you got flooded, not that you want to remember that! The Mini shows no signs and hopefully you're in a good place now! won't be long until you're cruising!

Thanks Craig.
It's taken alot of time to get back on track but it's all moving on again nicely now

so no progress to report today but i did get out there an drag out the door that i bought a few years back.
It was perfect when i bought it but years of rubbish storage and a flood haven't been too kind but it looks like i will get away with a clean up and perhaps a new skin.
Bottom is pretty good
This wasn't there before
anyway, used a few clamps etc to put it in the hole and see what sort of gaps i have.
looks ok but i obviously won't tell for sure until i get the A post in and some hinges on the door.

Have you got anything bracing/holding up the front right corner where hinge panel will go or is it strong enough with bulkhead holding it all up?

There is some movement in it but i have very good measurements to work too when it comes to welding the panels in.
when i got the car, the whole a post was rotten, as was the windscreen frame boxing panel to a point where nothing lined up anyway so in this case, movement is good as it will enable me to put everything back where it needs to be.
It's only localised movement anyway, there is no twist or stress on any of the shell so i can just gently persuade the bulkhead/windscreen frame to where it needs to be.
Cheers
