It is pretty bad mate, but the way i see it is. You can have a wing with a small hole or you can have a wing that is rusted beyond recognition but at the end of the day, whichever it is you will need a new wing.
I tell myself that alot......

Great work matey, your making great progress. I think you were following my cooper resto which at present is on hold following a house purchase in need of total renovation. Oh and getting my mates Mini 30 on the road after sitting in his garage for 14 years. Maybe i should start a thread for that one :) Keep me updated with the engine rebuild. I want to do mine but like you have only done head gaskets on other cars.

would like to see a build diary for our mates 30. DO it!!
My build diary will be covering every aspect of the build, If its coming apart or being painted, it will be on here.
Can't wait to get back to it.
Oh well, i have got Carlos' mini to get stuck into for the time being so thats something i guess.

This turned up today.
It will enable me to get the front corner all squared up and give me a guide to fit the inner sill against.
At them moment, the inner sill section of the magnum floor pan is too tall and i want to know if it fitted right or if they are just taller to allow you to trim it back.
Once i get this clamped on and line up correctly, i can get the a post stiffener panel (hinge post) and clamp that to it and get the door hung. Once the gaps are good, i can order up the inner wing and offer it up to see where we are.
Cheers

Ben, I found the magnum door step a very poor fit, I don't know whether that's due to the door step or the 1/4 panel.
That looks just the job

I had intended to fit the entire aperture frame but this is more cost effective.
think i may get one for the other side when the time comes.
Next big outlay is the inner wing
and i need 2 of them...
