I am moving too at the moment. As I am moving closer to work I am hoping it will free up some funds which can be spent on getting it finished!

Good grief its been a long time since I posted anything here. Life gets in the way and the Mini took priority so its been slow going for the Jiffy. It has some new wood on the flatbed but thats about it. Its being transported tonight back to my place as it had been put into storage while I dealt with the rust on my Mini. Its back to work on this though! I shall post some pictures later and get back on it!

I ordered a load of stainless steel nuts and bolts last night. Virtually the whole vehicle has been put together with M8 or M4 bolts so ive got a lot of them on order. I also ordered some hinges, meaning I should be able to bolt the cab and flat bed down and attach the body panels once they arrive. I have a few days off next week so im hoping to get plenty done!

So this weekend I set out with a grand scheme to help me work on the Jiffy. I dont have a lot of room at home for my fleet of vehicles and I wasnt happy with working on the Jiffy where it was. So I went out and bought some slabs to move my shed, emptied my shed, moved it, filled it, took down my fence, put my Jiffy in the garden, and put the fence back up.
Putting 12 600x600mm slabs in the car (about 350kg) and 125kg of sharp sand really took it out on the suspension!
I then emptied my shed and moved it, turns out there is an awful lot of stuff in my shed!
Finally, I put the Jiffy in my garden (the missus isnt too thrilled I dont think!).

I had my Mini suspended over our back steps at one point at the old house.
I used blocks and scaffold boards to make a platform over the steps and lifted the shell onto the planks. It made getting in and out of the back a real pain.
I think your solution is very neat!

Ive got a long term plan to get a new, smaller shed (this one is rotten, moving it was a big risk and I had to make rolling repairs when I did) and change the back fence into a gate which means I will be able to store vehicles there normally. Putting the Jiffy here was kind of the first stage to test fitment. Luckily my garden is very long so it doesnt actually take up that much space at the end. All the bare dirt is because I removed the borders a few weeks ago including a serious amount of bush. I gained about 5 feet in width from that but the grass seed hasnt grown yet...

Had the day off yesterday so had the chance to do some work on the Jiffy in the sunshine (although it was exceptionally windy).
My door hinges turned up. A maleable iron self-alligning hinge, 3 left and 3 right. 2 for each door and one left and one right for the bonnet.
After some grinding and drilling I had them nearly ready to fit. I need to countersink some of the holes but I dont have a bit big enough at the moment.
I fitted an airfilter too just for that bit of bling. I am completely convinced it is made from kitchen sponge and offers very little actual filtration though. But this vehicle isnt about perfection!
Recycled an old earth strap I had from a 1995 Ford Fiesta.
I also fitted the bonnet hinges after cutting them and also the clubman indicator backplates. These needed the old studs knocking out as they were stripped and I put M4 bolts in in their place.
I also fitted the speedo to the dashboard.
