ok, dare i say it, im thinking about having a go at it.

yesterday i picked up a spare bonnet for the metro, for a bargain £15 (there is another one on ebay thats £150!)

however i dont actually have a use for it, i only got it as it was right on the doorstep and it was a bargain, but now its given me an idea.

i quite fancy getting a sheet or two of sticker bomb off ebay and doing the whole bonnet with it. i thought it might be quite fun and i can always swap back to my other one when i get bored of it.

what do you think? cool idea, or am i too old for such nonsense?

It's not so much that you're too old, more that sticker-bombing is too young/naff/pointless. :P

i always though sticker bombing was done when somebody had crashed then replaced the panel with a different colour one, then covered it with stickers so their parents wouldn't see.

i dont know what colour your car is but white generally looks good. or matte black.

On the same lines as lapider, if you've got any bad paint/panels then you can always use sticker bombing to cover it up and have a bit of fun whilst you're at it! It's what I did, masked the crapness of my A panels for over a year :D

I wouldn't recommend doing it on any nice bodywork though, just in case when you get bored and peel it off it damages the paint!

I actually like sticker bombing on small areas i for instance have a sticker bombed steering wheel which I actually really like (didnt like the idea before)

I am 20 incidentally so still of the younger age range but I think the stickerbombing will get ditched when the minis made a little bit nicer but while shes tatty it can stay :)

I'm 42.

If its fun I'll do it and I couldn't give a flying wotsit what anyone else thinks.

If it makes you happy, do it.

I'm looking for ideas for my A-Panels, structurally they are in great shape but the paintwork is a bit naff so this might be an option.... and i'm 32!

I thought stickerbombing was for those people who 'have' to modify their cars but only have a budget of about a tenner?
