If you are familiar with my thread you'll know all the ins and outs already, but for those who don't..
My heart is on the floor typing all this.
I'm selling my freshly restored & resprayed 1979 Super Deluxe project shell.
I had an issue with surface rust making an appearance in localised areas on the front half and I can't spare the time or money to put her right. I would desperately like something to drive this show season! It's been far too long.
It's a sad shame because my project has always been hugely admired by you folk on here & everyone else. The finish on the paint is absolutely superb, you can see that from the photos.
Colours:
- Sandy beige.
- Snowberry white.
Modifications to the shell are as follows:
- Two small metal tabs welded on to the rear valance, to accomodate the rear fog light & reverse light.
- Two small tabs welded on to the lower dash rail, to affix a Mk1 switch panel.
- Two front fresh air vents welded up, I was going to fit works rally style dashboards & I had fitted wheel arch liners, so would have been rendered useless, they are a rust trap.
- LHD windscreen wiper holes welded up.
- Holes drilled in the rear wheel arches, bolt holes for the rear harness bar.
- Mk1 Fibreglass boot.
- Original Mk3 metal bonnet with the lip ground off to resemble a Mk1 bonnet.
Work that was carried out at the bodyshop:
- Painted inside and outside of shell beige including boot and engine areas.
- Painted roof white.
- Replaced 2x 'A' panels (due to doors catching)
- Replaced 1x door skin (due to excessive distortion)
- All filler work.
- Sealer work to shell.
- Paint all none shell panels supplied including harness rail, wheel arches and hinges.
- Complete shell put in high build primer and prepped.
- Stoneguarding of sills, front & rear valances + finished in paint.
- Waxoyled cavities.
What you are buying:
- The bare shell.
- Boot.
- Bonnet.
- 2x doors.
Extras:
I'm selling these as extras simply because you may not even want to buy them. Different arches can always be fitted dependent on what wheels you are running & the harness bar holes can either be welded up or covered over with the rear seat.
- W&P colour coded arches (+£60.00)
- Jon Betts colour coded harness bar (+£30.00)

YOU ARE BUYING THE SHELL ONLY (OR OPTIONAL EXTRAS ^)
& the bad bits..
Here!
I'm known for my attention to detail & being overly meticulous & anal with things.. so some of these patches are somewhat rather normal on a classic mini to appear.
Location / Price / Details:
- Just outside Melton Mowbray, LE14.
- £1,850
- Feel free to pop across and have a look at the shell, if you drop me a message we can arrange a date & a time.
- You'll have to sort transportation of the shell.
- Feel free to ask any questions or request more information & photographs.
