I do find it funny how you can name your build thread stance mini and then spend loads of time and money on non stance things! Hi lows should've been the very first thing to buy! :)
Love it though those wheels *drool*

Little bit of an update, not updated for a while  >_< Not much has changed, got a new exhaust on which tucks into the tunnel a bit better to give me some more clearance. I also managed to cherry the rear lights and remove the chrome strip around the gutter. Would have loved to have got some pictures or cherrying the rear lights as we did it in -2 the day before mini fair but my fingers were too cold to hold a phone let alone take a picture!

Anyway here are some pictures of it as it sits now (taken Sunday at mini fair):

The plans now are to tub the rear arches, get some camber on the rear and tidy up the interior a bit. Not too long to go now! I always wished I had done more of the big stuff myself but as its my first ever car and project (and as it is in such good condition) I never trusted myself not to mess it up! Hopefully I will start a new project after this where I get more hands on with the build  :D

Well this is my first car and project so I kinda had no idea what I was doing or what to buy. If I could do it again tubbing the arches and putting on hi-lows would be first! None of my family what so ever are into cars so I was completely by myself on this (hence taking it to friends to get things like the arches and speakers done). And I never said I was going to stance it straight away  ;D

just looked through the thread,

and good job!!

car looks amazing

i cant really see anything i would change about your car now, if it was mine i would probably fit a mk1 grill and a different more classy looking exhaust.

and on the engine build if you can ditch the 998cc i did the same thing and put my money into a decent spec 998 to get 64hp where if i used a 1275cc it would of ben around 90hp

but goodluck :D

Thanks! Looking at doing something with the engine now but I don't want to ditch my 998 as there is nothing wrong and it didn't miss a Rev on the whole 6 1/2 hour round trip to mini fair. And I like the exhaust on it now too, mother mini 7s pipe just tucks up neatly and being black it helps the rear loom more smooth.

Must admit I have been tempted with a mk1 grill for a while now...
