...sadly my big change with this is still on hold after being massively let down by the company who I have bought the parts off and many garages who are trying to help with fitting.
Fear not though I do have an update in the form of a mk1 golf GTi splitter. This not only makes it look slightly lower and a hell of a lot cooler but will also serve another purpose when I make the big change.
We originally were just going to put the splitter on but a spur of the moment idea meant we also relocated the number plate. Of course this was a wise move as it was the day before I had to leave for a show at goodwood which is a fair old drive from me. Who doesn't work better than when they're under pressure!
Yes relocating the number plate mean Chris (Chris1992) could finally fulfill his dreams of cutting up my car with a grinder..
New number plate bracket, expertly engineered (thanks Chris...)
And then it all marked up in place, this is now permanently on my car under the splitter
Chris even got to use his favourite problem solver, it was like Christmas all over again for him
Is anyone else worried by how happy he looks hacking up my car? Just me?
And tah-dah! All done. I think it looks so mad with the splitter on and the plate relocated. Had an awesome day at players classic in it and the splitter managed to survive the journey so it's a win! Apart from the plate won't stay on so it lives in the window while driving but that's only minor
Oh yeah also I did a thing to the daily
Yeah that's my version of a practical car...I think I need help

There's a man who clearly hasn't had metal in his eye before...

I hope you're joking. After previously having spent 4hrs in A&E having metal removed from my eyes as I was just wearing my glasses, I fully regret not wearing proper eye protection. Its like grinding without ear defenders, you'll regret it when the tinnitus kicks in.

We were in a bit of a rush and my goggles had gone walkabouts. Completely agree though, it was a stupid idea really. A new pair have been invested in!
