Seat extenders do the trick, I'm 6'1" and ankles hurt like hell driving any mini without adjusters, not a problem when fitted.

I have always had this on all my Minis and I have never been described as tall (or average height). I too was going to try seat bracket extenders when I put my Mini back on the road.

Wow I have never been in the 'tall' group!!

Yep, I get this. Accelerator ankle, I'm 6'1
I've found just mashing my foot to the floor helps!

I find that my ankles don't seem to hurt (I'm 6'4" with a 36" leg) as I lose all feeling below my knees after the first 20 miles. I've got a thread up at the mo looking for a bit of a legroom solution. I've got the bracket extenders for the seat but still get my knee jammed between the wheel and 3rd gear... My problem is the seat won't go any further back due to the door bucket in the rear and as that contains the seatbelt and it adds strength on the rear, I can't just chop it out!!!

I'll update if I have any joy

It is a problem we all suffer at some time or another.......Turn your accelerator foot sideways and throw your knee out to the side. ...... I know it sounds uncomfortable but just try it. you find that you sit with your legs further apart ( not ladylike I know) and more slouched in the seat for comfort.

By putting my leg out to the side (as quoted above) did the trick for me. I tried seat extenders but the extra 2 inch reach for the steering wheel was more unfomfortable.

I get this too, I usually loop my left foot around my right ankle to give it. Little support.
