The rubber inside the door may be perished, I had to slightly modify mine so the deflector would sit in place

Also, try putting the bit by the mirror in first and working up towards the front left almost of the window. Then go to the other end of the deflector (widest end) and fit that.

Crap instructions, but hope they helped? :-)

Can this be done with the rubber in place or does it have to come out ??

i bought mine 2nd hand so dont know how they are supposed to fit.

but i pulled the rubber out and my 2nd hand ones had double sided tape on them, stuck them to the outer edge of the channel the rubber sits in and replaced rubber to hold them in place.

My window doesnt shut fully, i think i need to modify the rubber at the top to allow a wider channel for the glass. When its wound up as far as i can get it, theres a 1/2 cm gap which cannot be seen from outside due to the wind deflector.

You should also have 3 U shaped clips to insert which helps hold the rubber back

Bought mine 2nd hand so no clips. seem to be secure enough with the double sided tape and rubber however.

I fitted mine new without any problems. No clips needed. Are they Climair ones? Start from the front by the mirrors, bend in and then work along. This clip might help? If it doesn't take you to the right clip just google climair wind deflectors. Hope it helps.

Bought mine new, no sign of these 3x clip being spoken of. Same trouble really as above would it help replacing the rubbers in the window as no idea if these have gone hard by comparison to a new set

cheers for any thoughts on this

didnt think to try that as the guy from W&P explained to pull the rubber out from around the frame and insert it there,

does it move at all sitting in the channel ?

i cant shut my window fully. Mine are fitted by removing the rubber and fitting into the door, then replace rubber.

I need to trim the rubber to give room for the window to go up that last 1cm.

I fitted some a couple of weeks back. I just shoved they in the rubber slot where the glass normally sits. That seemed to be what the instructions suggested (but they weren't the best instructions). They went in in about a minute each and the window winds up a treat, no problem.

The correct way to fit these is between the glass and the rubber :) don't be tempted to take the seal down and try and fit them between the rubber and the door :) .I had a real struggle to fit mine until I did a bit of google mechanic and found out how to fit them. :)
