Looking at this restoration is one thing that inspired me to get my mk1 finished and make a start on the mk2, it's an epic transformation

Had a hour messing tonight got manifold studs fitted as I forgot them😁 positioned door steps need drilling and screwing for tomorrow also wanted to finish my steering wheel of I brought a mk1 centre from of eBay and its to small so I brought one from mini spares that fits but doesn't have the emblem in middle I need to source one of those. Anyone got one? Here is some pictures thanks Tom

Not sure if I can shave the edges down on the emblem to make it fit but would the horn not work? Don't want to damage it if it doesn't work as it cost me £45 for the wrong one 😔

Nice looking project

I don't think I would risk it with the horn push, I would keep searching for the correct one as I think all you will do is ruin the one you have, trying to make it fit.

It will come up just a bit of patience required.

One thing might be worth considering is search on ebay for other BMC models of the era (A35 / A40, 1300's etc) as so many of the items were from their parts bin. Also if it doesn;t have mini in the listing the prices can be cheaper!

I was working on a Morris Traveler a few days ago and it had what looks like the same wheel as yours with the horn push and emblem.

I wonder if they are the same?

Could be off an a40 or similar period car, is there a part number on it as may be able to trace from that then sell to correct audience
