I can offer any advice about electrics but unfortunately only get Saturdays free at moment so am always tied up as starting my mk2 cooper project. Main thing caused me issues when using old loom was connections so in the end I cleaned everyone of them and no trouble since. The diagram is straightforward as nothing to it hardly.

thanks mate makes such a difference with doors fitted if I had everything to bolt on this car I would have it complete by next weekend as there is not much to do now. I need a heater matrix so I can finish that of and the interior door cards are on the way. Also I need an original interior light but they are going for around £60 on eBay😧 wounded

Mines abit like yours on the passenger side its old and new parts so settle for a happy medium I think it all looks fine once all the accessories are fitted and detailing

Wicked sounds good to me... Really coming together, and I have been looking at those lights as well and they are crazy money... Like most things for a mk1 mini

Fitted door glass today and got the carb fitted the other day air filter and cables connected. Ordered some parts of eBay awaiting for them to arrive. Getting there nearly 😀

Looking amazing you get a great sense of feeling of completion once all the glass is fitted and you sit inside for the first time. It also locks in that 60s smell lol keep going the ends in sight

I don't think the wing mirrors were standard fitment but would have been a common option at the time. I chose not to fit any on mine but driving would be easier if I had them. If I found some new old stock period mirrors I would probably fit some.
I must say though the car is looking superb and I can confirm the stage you are at now is the most time consuming and difficult, then once the car on the road expect a few niggles until it settles down.

If you dont want to fit wing mirrors I would highly recommend an overtaking mirror like I have fitted to mine it sits on the seam and has rubber pads between the clamps and grub screws so no damage to the body work if removed at a later date.
