Hi Pete it's on its back wheels now I just need to get the engine in and get the front running gear bolted up hopefully getting this done over the weekend cheers Tom

hi all today i got the front finished and rolling. its nice to get it on some wheels and be able to move it around its starting to look good im really happy with it. here is some pictures for you thanks tom

I wouldn't have thought you could drop the engine in with Drive shafts in place but I'm sure someone else will know.

for the sake of just pulling the drive shafts out the way again mate, you may as well just make life easier for yourself ;)

Thanks all I was just wondering with the drive shafts if it could be done as they are different to the mk3 type. Hopefully get the engine dropped in next week cheers Tom

Looking good, I dropped my engine in with drive shafts in place, then put the roller bearing spiders in afterwards, the rubber ones however cannot be fitted afterwards so would need putting either on engine or driveshafts first, I really cannot see a reason why you need to take the shafts out. I did fit mine without radiator to help make sure I didn't scratch anything but took a couple of attempts to figure out how to get the radiator in afterwards but it's all in now.

I would move the shafts out the way if I was you, I fit mine with pot joints without splitting ball joints but you tend to knock the engine bay about moving the engine about.
