It's difficult as if you put too much pressure on they might rush it and not make as good a job as you hoped and if you leave it might take a lot longer. Very difficult to know which way to go

I certainly would, get some leather/vinyl restorer on them and they'll be more than good to go!

I did my vinyl seats with a steamer, then removed dirt with a clean microfibre cloth, it worked very well and at least I didn't have to risk any chemicals on them. I am trying to reuse as much original parts as possible but it would rather see a period worn original than a new item on my car. The door cards from newton commercial are good as I had some seat covers for another car from them and the grain was spot on. I have to get new wheel arch covers for mine as the originals have been burnt by a previous owners attempt at welding

thanks lads ile get them cleaned up and reuse them saves abit of dosh i suppose. i do need to find some cheap or free seat frames as where the bottom of the seats sit on the rear floor panel the curley bit has rotted away so i need to chop it out and weld new pieces in. and then give the frames a painting. thanks tom

Those seats will make the car much nicer Tom, get a glyptone leather smell air freshener and it will trick people into thinking the car is unrestored but mint :-)
