today i have taken my subframes and parts for shot blasting hopefully get them back in the week and they are going for powder coating friday. i was going to buy a new wiring loom but after looking at the old wiring loom it doesnt look to bad so going to strip casing and wrap the wires in new tape. some wires i know ruffly what they are and others i dont so i have labelled the ones i know and the others will have to be sorted out when fitted in car so i will be getting that cleaned up in the week ready. i have also given my headlining and sun visors a clean up with some fairy liquid in warm water and a sponge to scrub with didnt really clean them up so i am going to hunt for some special stuff to see if i can get the stains out im not fussed about little marks as it is 50 odd years old... same as the writing on the back that the lady done 50 odd years ago how wonderfull but dont understand it. and i spoke to the painter this morning on text and said he should have some pictures for me tonight or tomorrow of it in primer and preopped ready for painting next week. all coming together now just waiting for it all to arrive back to crack on with it.. thanks for looking here is some pictures cheers tom

I found a steamer very good at cleaning vinyl, it lift the grease and grime then used a microfibre cloth to remove it, no harsh chemicals used, you need to get it clean to paint it as the grease and grime will prevent the paint adhering properly. If it's really bad headlining is available new from newton commercial and not badly priced.
You won't get the glue marks off headlining but that's on most early cars,
