Lol, I can see them now, big long rusty things! Was one of the four wheels more creme than white too?

You must have seen my old mini!  :lol:

It had a front end fitted that hadn't been painted so was still in black transport primer with surface rust  :X

The rest of the car was red....... of course!

hey all started stripping down parts and putting in box what i want shot blasting and what parts are reusable i am taking the drive shaft and hub to my mate tomorrow as the ball joint wont budge and the big locking nut for the drive shaft wont budge so a big vice is needed. going to start stripping the rear sub frame tomorrow  and hopefully take all this to the shot blasters next week thanks tom

also can the heater box be restored or would it be better to find a better one? would be nice to keep the original one...

Deffinatly restorable, we restore most heaters on the cars we restore at work, strip it and have all the individual parts blasted and coated/painted replace matrix etc.

 

Looking forward to more pictures!

cheers j yeh i suppose your right i dont think it will look bad once stripped blasted and painted up. are they easy to strip down?

had a couple of hours tonight and i stripped the heater stripped my steering column masked it up ready for paint only a few more things left to strip and of to the blasters it will be i just hope i get all the parts back and non lost.. can anyone tell me is this steering wheel standard to a super deluxe or has there been a different one put on? what style do i need? thanks tom

You got a piccy of it tom ?..... As for the heater I don't have a clue, I'm taking mine out and not having one as it's weight I don't need lol.... Plus it won't be out in the cold after spending all this time and money on it......

what sort do i need then a plaint black one witht the austin badge in the middle? i do want a white steering wheel tho not sure if they did white ones.. .
