i can get some pictures for you tomorrow if you like to see my problem

Sounds good.

You will never get a true idea of how the doors open and shut and sit without the striker plates fitted.

It is crucial to fit them now.

The rubbers will be a bit stiff to start with but i am assuming that you are holding the doors shut by hand at the moment?

Once you get the strikers on, you can latch them fully. You want them adjusted so that the door just sits flush but does not spring open violently when you release the door with the handle. If the latter happens but they look good when closed, then something is wrong somewhere.

Ben

doors are all done and taken of ready for filling i have spoke to mark at the paint shop and it shall be going in saturday so almost there =]  i have also cut these little chrome strips to go around the engine bay edge to give it a nicer finish of they will be refitted once shells back ino accross the back there is suppost to be a rubber there but i am not sure on mk1 minis if the rubber goes on the bonnet edge instead.. here is some pictures of that anyway. thanks tom

Yep, i'm garage painting mine tomorrow!

You could always go for a nice black vinyl roof if you fancy a black roof at some point. I am fond of them

Found your project Tom. You weren't joking about it needing a lot of work. Still can't get over how many minis you've got. I am jealous lol.
Good to see a few pics of my blue floor in there I've started chopping it up already

Any pics from the body shop yet
