hi doors are all lines up just need fillering in places and they are ready for paint. i am going to get dor rubbers and have the doors all fitted up as if it was a finish result and test them that way. i am pritty much finished on what i can do now im just going to let the body shop take care of the rest. hopefully it will be going in paint shop some time in the week next week and they have got ot for 3 to 4 weeks maybe he will be quicker but im not fussed as i have got all the subframes to get blasted and painted up. here is some pictures of doors fitted thanks tom

Wow what a difference doors make !!! And seam strip is a good idea too, do all mini's come out of the factory with that fitted?

At this rate mate yours will be on the road quicker than mine hehe.... My excuse is I only really work on mine a few hours a weekend...

thanks mate well i didnt see any on this at the start due to how bad it was but i have seen them on other minis at shows. some i have sen just leave them like i did on my first project. so i will do this on all of them from now just to give it that better edging.. well i will be bored in the next few weeks wile its not in the garage and that means i wont be able to get away from the misses. ile have to think of something else to do maybe ile do bits on my own mini in the mean time thanks tom

that would be hard as it would kink in places but if it could be done it would look a lot better.. i will be putting the deluxe chrome trim down the sides but im not sure mk1 have the chrome trim around the roof rail

Leave the roof mate..... I don't think they did way back when...... I think the chrome door surrounds would look cool tho....... Only because I have a set to put on.... I have seen a full trim set for the sides made out of ally but they go for stupid money ( goes on sill and arches )

Cheers James

i dont have any striker plates on atm mate as i need to find some nuts and washers to go on the back of the striker.. basically the door shuts nice and flush with out the rubber and now i have got the rubber in place its pushing the door out the thickness of the rubber? i suppose over time it will close in as its new rubber and hard..
