I need both sides but thanks anyway, the reason I asked the first question as I thought that panel you pictured was a couple of panels I needed (Corner boot floor and closing valance panel but all as one panel which it is. Thats why I wondered where you got it as haven't seen it in stockists?
Thanks John

To start with, try bringing the front panel down. That would probably make quite a bit of difference by the looks of it.

i had the same problem with my mk3.
my father and i came up with a crazy idea, for it.
first, we clamped the wing to the front panel, with MANY clamps
second, when we were happy with space between the wing and bonnet, and the wing-front line. then we closed the bonnet the line up the wing with the bonnet, up to the scuttle. - and fixed it with a screw the inner wing.
third, we put on the a-panel
fourth, we check'd if the wing and a-panel would meet. - if it look'd like it, then we gave the wing a little weld to the scuttle (not on the overside.. but in the corner near the inner wing.
fifth, then we welded a strong tube together with another tube and put it under the sub, and then straps over the front to pull the wings down in place. :)
- sorry if its hard to understand , because I'm not that good at the right expressions :) - but i hope it helps ! :)
we had a load on problems with it aswell and thats why we came up with this untraditional idea :)
Kind regrads Nino
- you can see more photos in my built :)

thanks guys i have calmed down now and got the job done! after all that head banging on the wall its easy as pie. i have got them to the best i can get. the way i done it was have the bonnet down in position with the front panel and then push the wing in getting a nice line down the bonnet and then tack it in the top corner closest to the edge of the top of the bonnet to hold it there then pull it down and get the arch lip lined up and clamp in place then move on to the front line and pull it all in with some clamps at the back to hold it nice. i then tacked it in every so often around the front and around the scuttle and thats it you have it almost there just need to give it a fully weld to make stronger. i am going to be fully seam welding around the scuttle line and where it joins to the front panel as these places usually crack after fillering and etc so i am going to shape mine in with the weld.
i also welded the wheel clamp in the boot before i finished. let me no what you think here is some piccys thanks tom

also put some primer down the wing lines so you can see better what the lines are like
