Well it's looking superb, and I must agree about the boot floor panel, not really worth the trouble as it will never be seen once trim is in and as it's a new panel not worth cutting. Won't be long before you have nothing left to weld.

thanks daz yeh i agree its not going to be concourse as this will be driven. its a big enough task getting it back on the road lol and like you say i dont really want to start cutting a new panel when its not going to be seen cheers tom.

Just let me girlfriend read through your project with me because she is always moaning as too why I'm always working on mine and say mine isn't to bad only a front end and few repair then showed her your and she goes ok maybe I'll let you off haha now she wants one. Great work keep it up 👍

hi all just to let you no ordered a list of panels today from m machine and should get them in 2 to 3 weeks. i ordered

front panel full skirt

front wings

fuel stand 

spare wheel clamp

rear seat strengthener

rear seat bulkhead

 

in the mean time i am going to fully weld underneath and seam seal get rear valance and closing pieces in place fit the battery box start repairing my parcel shelf and then start repairing my bootlid so i have got enough to do for two weeks now lol thanks tom

can anyone tell me whats the differences in battery boxes please? i have a battery box but not sure if its for a mk1 or they are all the same thanks tom

 

o and also are the rear valances the same?

hi all little update tonight i have welded in my battery box tacked my rear valance in place and put my ashtray panels in the rear companion boxes. just awaiting for panels to arrive so i can crack on some more. here is some piccys for you thanks tom.
