If your mate can wire it in put a 32 amp breaker in a spare slot in fuse board, then run 6mm cable to a blue 32amp socket in the garage, I had to do this for my mig welder and compressor, only use one at a time though. It could also just be the surge on start up so you could try a c type breaker in your cooker socket first as it's designed to not trip as easily standard b type breakers trip out with welders all the time they are cheap from screwfix or toolstation.

Sounds like thats what his mate did by 'swapping' the breaker, a proper circuit is the only way really, im lucky as my fuseboard is in my garage when the time comes, and its coming alright!

thanks guys my mate tryed a higher amp switch and it still flicked of after 5 spots like i said the only thing he can do is rewire a new socket into my garage with thicker wire and a bigger fuse. but for what it is now and whats left i might aswell leave it. thanks pete my first plan was totally original like it was made. but i might put some sporty 10"rose petal wheels on it and and some extras to it. we will see i dont want to devalue cheers tom

I wonder what the whole shell would fetch if you finished it and sold it in etch primer! There's nothing you cant take on now either, excellent.

to be honest mate ide rather rebuild it and then wrap it up and keep hold of it as it might be the best thing to do if they go up in value. if i sold it now ide probz just get my money back from what i have spent on it cheers tom
