just to let you all no i have ordered the full floor today from m machine and should take about 2 weeks before i get it. so in the mean time i will get set up ready for it. dont suppose anyone got any advise on how to get the floor straight with the shell? any little tips will help. i was thinking of fitting the 10" wheels from the mk1 to my mini i use daily and then get the front wheels straight and put a metal brace around the wheels two down the sides and one front one on the back pushed up against the tyres. and then weld that up and use it as a line so if i place my shell on top of the new floor with subframes on and wheels i can get a ruff idea? is there any easier option tho? thanks tom and i cant wait woop woop!!

hi all just had a few hours in the garage getting ready for when the floor turns up just moved into this new house with garage on the side so its alot better now only got to walk out my back door instead of driving a couple of miles to do some work. anyway removed the rolling crate that was under it and put it on axel stands for the moment to give me some space to put the floor in. its going to be a fiddle trying to get it in line not looking forward to this lol. here is some pictures of what it is now ready and waiting thanks tom

Can't wait to see the new floor assembly, you will breeze it!
And a thought if your fitting your floorpan the way the car is on axle stands, try and get hold of a few scissor jacks, old car ones are great, as use them to help position the floor pan from underneath , and you can tweak them to suit easily. Just a thought for ya :)

good idea buddy i have a couple of jacks handy might run 2 planks ever side running the length on the floor panel with jacks ever side and pump it up into position and then spotweld in place. sounds easy but something like that lol :) also i have been told that i am not aloud to use a spot welder it has to be migwelded into place? i dont believe the chap so is he wrong? thanks tom
