Wouldn't you be better off leaving the lower rear panel until you get all the floors etc in?

done a couple of hours tonight welded up scuttle holes and cleaned the garage up abit as it was getting messy lol i also want to ask.... i need to move the shell so i can get my engine and subframe out from the corner so i can strip it down ready to use for the floor how would you go about moving the shell? i was thinking brace bars across and then put as pallet with wheels underneath the bars? any other ideas you can think of let me no? cheers tom

cheers mate ile give it ago. i was just thinking once i put the bars there and a pallet how am i going to put the floor in? lol need to prop it some way so nothings in the way. could do with a scaffold pole threw the middle but i dont have the rear seat bulkhead in. im sure there is a way. and yes we are almost the same i will have to pick your brains tho when i get on the floor on how you done it and etc. thanks tom

i have just read this through from page 1 and massive credit to you. I am happy to see the car i was bidding on and lost on ebay went to good use and is being restored properly. i am going to buy an early riley elf or a mk1 once my mk4 and metro van are done, will be toward the end of next summer and this has been a big inspiration to do so! keep up the good work and i will carry on to follow the project !!! thats nice to no. he did say he had some chaps view it but they just wanted the parts of it and was going to scrap the shell. i thought you cant do that! lol i did offer him £700 cash when i went to view it but it only went for £790 on ebay so i was chuffed plus he lives a few streets up from me so didnt have to pay much for collection and drop of. did you go and view it? cheers tom

and it doesnt look to bad a few patches will need doing but saves buying a new rear panel. any ideas how big the bottom sections you can buy how far they go up? whats your thoughts on the rear panel? also like to say i am white all over and i can hardley breath after all that filler and old paint i had to grind out lol here is some piccys cheers tom
