cheers mate will look threw it. i need to get a hole cutter then as i dont think i can cut the small hole with a grinder. whats do you use for cuting holes in metal?

Well i,ve got a few different tools alot powered by air pressure but you can make it out with a scriber, drill the biggest hole you can anywere within the circle marked and go around slowly with the tin-snips, leave about 10mm and trim that back with something like this:

Either in a drill or air tool if you have one :) very usful for doing little hard to reach repairs

Evening, I've also just made these panels myself, to cut the holes out, I used a stepped drill bit http://www.ebay.co.u...=item35cb6ebc80

and drilled as close to the edge as possible, I then used a nibbler, http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5d42b78ab8 to cut as much out as possible and as close to the edge of the hole as possible and then I used a profile sander http://www.ebay.co.u...=item53fecc0253 to get right to the edge.

I did not not buy tools from the above links, just linked to em for pictures.

It's under the bottom dash rail and the lips spot weld to the flitch and A-post stiffener for strenth.

I know that you'll have to take the inner trim out first and despite doing this on mine i honestly can't remember how haha, you'll figure it out when you sit down and look at it but im 90% certain they fall out inwards when you remove something.

Don't worry about damaging the flocked rubber channels as you probably need to replace those seeing how dead the rest of the car is

There isn't much more that I've had to make yet.

Here's my build, although it's a Mk3 hornet and not a Mk1 mini

http://www.theminifo...hornet-project/

There has been some progress on the build, just haven't got around to updating, hoping to bring it upto date within the next week or two, been busy with getting family MOT's and other stuff sorted, fitting the son a new bathroom this week and a new kitchen at the end of the month, so probably won't get much done on the hornet for a while, bloody kids!
